A couple of days before closing, you will visit the lawyer/notary’s office to sign the final papers. This is also the time you will need to provide payment for the remainder of the down payment, property taxes and any other applicable fees.

- Step 8. Choose a Lawyer or Notary.
- Step 9. Sign the Final Papers.
- Step 10. Take Possession of Your New Home!
